Joseph Campbell tells his students to "follow their bliss. He goes on the explain,

"When you follow your bliss, you have found a life right then and there. It doesn't necessarily mean making a lot of money. But it does mean experiencing being fully alive. People are not looking for meaning in their lives. They're looking for the experience of being alive. That is what it is all about!
